As a result, the antimicrobials may become ineffective and infections persist. Medical interventions including surgery, chemotherapy and stem cell therapy may become impossible.
AMR is considered one of the biggest global threats of Health and Food Safety. Combating AMR calls for international cooperation within the One Health concept.
